solange knowles started a blog in november called my damn blog (found that out by going through her whole archive) and it's a big inspiration-- not only for her amazing style but for the gorgeous photos she takes of herself, her son and friends, plus my god she is beautiful. some of my favorites:

can never have too many of these, you just run them down to dust. hard to find anything without bows, not a fan of the girlyness, but these feel more relaxed and less prim 'n proper.

kind of in love with this shape, which reminds me of chanel a lot, it's a nice subtlety.. love!

ysl-- don't wear much jewelry, mostly because i can't find anything i really like, but the velvet got me on this one, sexy! still don't know if i could pull it off, jewelry is so tough.

dolce & gabbana again-- the ultimate waste of money but fun right? ipad case. might need one of those first!

favorite nail/lip color of all time goes to this shade of blood red with a slight bit'a purple.

ysl rouge pur couture #8 belle de rose. side note-- ysl, particularly the rouge pur couture line, is the longest lasting lipstick i've tried. nars has more interesting colors but ysl is better for the staples, and is much higher quality. also has spf which is fantastically moisturizing and avoids bleeding, less need for 'border guard' lip liner (even though i do love me some 90's).
